The inspiration for the Vieux Carre Designer Dinnerware came from a trip Gail Pittman made to New Orleans where she was drawn to the elaborate ironwork balconies that grace so many of the buildings in The French Quarter. Combining the "fussy", as she called it, motifs of the cast iron with its antique green and rust-red patinas, she created Vieux Carre, or "Old Square", as the Quarter is called in French. Full of intriguing twists and flourishes, Vieux Carre combines French sophistication with the exuberance of Mardi Gras to add precisely the right touch of playful elegance to your dining table.
Vieux Carre Designer Dinnerware includes any piece you might need to set a stunning table: plates, bowls, cups, serving platters, even accent pieces such as vases and spoon holders. You can order the pieces separately or as an entire dinnerware set. Either way, you'll be sharing in Gail Pittman's vision of a good life lived with style.
Vieux Carre is one of over a hundred Gail Pittman designs. The pieces are made of highly chip-resistant, hand-painted ceramic and are microwave, oven, freezer and dishwasher safe. Whether you use them every day or trot them out only on special occasions, Vieux Carre Designer Dinnerware will occupy a place in your home for many years to come.
